Product viability
Life Cycle Graphics
Individual summary
During part F, Lizzie and I had to research and discuss the positive and negative consequences of creating and manufacturing our product. We are responsible for the effects of our design and so we have to take that into a-count. We had to research how the components of our product were made and how our automatic plant waterer will change throughout its lifecycle. We investigated the life cycle steps of pre-manufacturing, manufacture, product delivery (packaging/distribution), the use of our new product, and the disposal, and discovered the possible hazardous and non hazardous outcomes from using mainly raw materials, fossil fuels, and chemicals we chose. By creating the life cycle of our new product we are able to see the long term effects of our product, like possible battery leakage or excess plastic waste. These discoveries have allowed us to see our product from an eco friendly perspective, and made us realized where we could make improvements.
